There were no changes to the suite of DWS models this week, so we’ll look at the Xtrackers MSCI EAFE High Dividend Yield Equity ETF (HDEF). International names maintain their overall leadership tendencies over domestic equities as we open April. Europe has been a point of strength for the better part of the last few years, as evidenced by strong positioning for the group within the international DALI rankings. Dividend payers have put together a strong opening quarter on the global stage, seeing international representative (HDEF) advance 4.58% through the first quarter. With recent action, the fund has reversed out of heavily overbought territory on its $0.50 chart, now trading near the middle of its ten-week trading band at $32.70. The fund has a strong 4.56 fund score, and the technical picture remains quite strong on the pullback. Underneath the hood, the fund has “heavy” allocation to the United Kingdom & Switzerland as well as the financials and consumer staples sectors. Support is found at $29.00.
